Most recently, we were honored to receive the ‘Family Office of the Year’ award in Wealth Solutions Report’s year-end Wealth Exemplar Awards, which was awarded to the top three financial advisory firms with a significant focus on ultra-high net worth client families that also engage in sophisticated, tailored services such as concierge services, tax and estate planning, and art investment advice.

Something else we were really excited about was our networking event held in Monterrey, Mexico in late October. The Intercontinental team was joined by Jesse Cotter of The Blackstone Group, which led to a great discussion and presentation on alternative investments and current investment opportunities in the private investment space. Thank you to those of you who joined us!

Speaking of Blackstone, Intercontinental's Chief Investment Officer Alfredo La Rosa and Senior Research Analyst Daniel Garza were delighted to attend the Blackstone University Conference in Chicago in early October, where top Blackstone executives and managers gave updates on the status of their strategies in Private Credit, Private Equity, and Real Estate, with particular attention paid to the performance of those asset classes in the current environment of higher inflation and higher interest rates.

Just before Thanksgiving, President Charlie Lutz had a great time at the University of the Incarnate Word’s 2022 Light the Way Holiday Festival, where he was honored to flip the switch illuminating the campus with over a million twinkling lights. Charlie is the former Chairman of the Board of Trustees at UIW.

In addition, we are proud to announce that Financial Advisor SaVion Harris was named to the University of Texas at San Antonio’s Alumni Association Board of Directors – the youngest member to ever be on the board.

We were also proud to recently release our ‘Sudden Wealth Guide’, an educational resource providing tips for prudent management of an inheritance or similar financial windfall.
